Molecular Biology of Starch Biosynthesis.

Text from Keeling (©1998)

Many of the key enzymes of starch biosynthesis have been cloned from a few plant species. Most notably from maize endosperm, rice endosperm, barley endosperm, potato tuber and pea embryo. Key pathway enzymes include ADP-glucose pyrophosphorylases, Bound starch synthase, Branching enzymes, Starch synthases, Amylogenin, Debranching enzymes, Disproportionating enzymes
